Maternity Studio Photo Session | Houston Texas

This was my first time shooting in The Lumen Room in Houston, Texas. The Lumen Room is a spacious, beautiful studio that offers mid-century modern furniture and blank spaces as well as large windows. This allows for gorgeous natural light to flow in. Using natural light is a very important element to my overall style. In my opinion it creates such a flattering glow around my clients! Capturing this adorable family of three, soon to be a family of four, was effortless! We danced, snuggled, and laid hands on baby getting excited for her soon arrival. This maternity studio photo session in Houston Texas was SO fun!

The Lumen Room was the perfect location for this maternity studio photo session in Houston, Texas. When it starts to get unbearably warm outside, a studio is a great option to beat the heat. This studio space was huge and offered plenty of elegant sitting props like a large leather sofa, velvet chairs, and wooden stools of various heights. We also especially enjoyed the blank canvas on wheels on the white and pink sides (perfect for celebrating baby girl on the way!)

Haley and her family are expecting their second baby. I can tell big brother will be the best helper already! He showed so much excitement about his little sister by smothering her with kisses and hugs during our time together. My favorite moments were his jumps of joy! Kids are so fun to include in maternity sessions, but of course we will always snap several portraits of just Mama, too. And even mom and dad together if the kids will allow us to sneak a few in!
